It took them two months to begin a normal life in Salem. Christine did not feel good there, without her new friend, her own mum and Angelina felt that. It is well known fact, that babies share mothers' mood. Happily, most of Christine's bruises gone. Instead of it her nose began to bleed but she thought that it is a matter of changing climates and pressures.
Not exactly.

You can say that relations between Edward and Christine were surprisingly well but again - not exactly. Christine just felt confused and little alienated in new place so she was maybe too tired for fights with husband? Well, as we know already - she could also just pretend nice to let him to be his girls' guide. I have no doubts - she did not love him more.

So, normal life means she began to be angry on Edward again. And again about everything. And again - with no reason. Or not reasons which are logical.

Angelina was a strange baby. As You know, she did not cry much and also she preferred falling asleep in darkness. She seemed to be not scared at all. For Christine it was a great opportunity to fall asleep to - she just thought that she is lucky, when you do not want to have a baby then it is better that you have one who is not causing many problems.
Edward thought that it was a proof for Christine's great motherhood. Or just a result of his mother-in-law's help.

The beginning of the summer is usually charming, in Salem. So no-one could even suspect that the weather on the funeral can be bad. Oh, pardon me. Who could imagine that there will be any funeral?
